Title: Collection and Use of DNA Information | |
Abstract:
The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency for the District of Columbia (CSOSA) is amending its regulations concerning the collection and use of DNA information as codified in title 28, chapter 812 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). This section of the CFR pertains to the responsibilities of CSOSA for collecting DNA samples from individuals under its supervision who have been convicted of specific offenses identified by District of Columbia statute. Section 812.2 will be amended to revise the types of individuals subjected to DNA to include the categories of qualifying offenses. Section 812.4 will be updated to ensure compliance with amended law. Appendix A to part 812 will be revised or rescinded. |
