Abstract:
Section 1758 of the Export Control Reform Act of 2018 (ECRA), as codified under 50 U.S.C. 4817, authorizes BIS to establish appropriate controls on the export, reexport or transfer (in-country) of emerging and foundational technologies. BIS has identified Brain Computer Interface (BCI) technology as part of a representative list of technology categories and will seek public comment on imposing controls on this technology. |
