| Title: Section 1758 Technologies: Proposed Controls; Request for Comments | |
|
Abstract:
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) maintains controls on the export, reexport, and transfer (in-country) of dual- use items and less sensitive military items pursuant to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). BIS proposes amendments to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) by imposing controls on certain emerging technologies that could pose a risk to national security or foreign policy objectives. These controls, if implemented, may result in the creation of a new Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) on the Commerce Control List (CCL). |
