Abstract:

In this final rule, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) makes corrections and clarifications for Electronic Export Information (EEI) Filing Requirements in Automated Export System (AES) under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This final rule makes changes related to one mandatory EEI filing requirement to exclude certain consumer communications devices exported by individuals from the requirement and makes other clarifying changes to make these requirements easier to understand.
