COUNCIL OF THE INSPECTORS GENERAL ON INTEGRITY AND EFFICIENCY

5 CFR Ch. XCVIII

Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions

AGENCY: Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency

ACTION: Semiannual regulatory agenda.

SUMMARY: This agenda announces the regulations the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) will have under development during the 12 months following publication. The purpose of publishing this agenda is to provide the public with an opportunity to participate in the rulemaking process.

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Atticus J. Reaser, General Counsel, CIGIE, (202) 292-2600.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: In accordance with the Regulatory Flexibility Act, 5 U.S.C. 602, executive agencies are required to publish in the Federal Register a regulatory flexibility agenda in April and October of each year. Such regulatory flexibility agenda must include rules that the agency expects to propose or promulgate that are likely to have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. CIGIE has determined, under the Regulatory Flexibility Act, that the regulation under consideration will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. Moreover, as a result, no regulatory flexibility analysis is required pursuant to the Regulatory Flexibility Act. Furthermore, the regulation being considered by CIGIE is not a "significant regulatory action" within the meaning of Executive Order 12866 entitled "Regulatory Planning and Review" and, therefore, no Regulatory Plan is required.
