Abstract:
The Office records about 170,000 assignments or documents related to ownership of patent and trademark cases each year. The Office requires a cover sheet to expedite the processing of these documents and to ensure that they are properly recorded. The affected public consists of parties with interest in patents and trademarks and members of the public who use the Office's assignment records.
