To allow sufficient time to fully assess the usefulness of the NERC Transmission Data Availability System (TADS) and its potential to provide the Federal government with electric power outage data, Schedule 7 of EIA form 411 will be submitted by respondents on a voluntary basis pending future discussions with NERC, EIA, OMB and Federal users of Schedule 7. If TADS or a modified version are acceptable, the EIA will assess the impact on the Form EIA-411 and work with OMB on any agreed upon changes.

Respondents include electric utilities, nonutility electric power producers, electric reliability council members, and independent electric power system operators. Electric power data collected are used by the Department of Energy for analysis and forecasting. Data are published in various EIA reports.
