Short Statement:
This is a revision of a currently approved collection. This collection is currently approved with 664,726 burden hours and 12,550,195 responses. FNS adjusted the previous estimates for the per hour response so that the decimal conversions would result in whole minutes. FNS estimates that this change will reduce the burden hours by 3,927 hours. For this renewal, one State having schools that participate in the Community Eligibility Provision was added and six additional States are now required to submit direct certification improvement plans. FNS estimates that these additions will increase the annual responses by 16 responses. Although the responses have increased, the changes in the time estimates offset the effect of this increase on the burden hours. The decrease in the burden hours and the increase in the responses are the result of an adjustment. With this renewal, FNS estimates that this collection will have 660,799 burden hours and 12,550,211 responses.
