Abstract:
FAS requires the information within this package for purposes of operating and maintaining the Food for Progress and McGovern-Dole programs in a judicious manner. FAS uses the information gathered from grant recipients, freight forwarders, ship owners, and survey companies to actively monitor and evaluate grants.

Short Statement:
FAS made minor adjustments to burden estimates based on feedback from PVO’s. Also, FAS removed form KC334_AJ DISCHARGE/DELIVERY SURVEY SUMMARY as it no longer applies to this information collection. These changes reduced the annual burden hours. Burden hour estimates were revised downwards to reflect data provided by private voluntary organizations currently implementing projects under the program. The total annual burden hours decreased from 89,287 to 88,548. The total responses from respondents increased from 1,952 to 2,147 resulting in an increase in total annual costs to participants from $4,842,104 to $4,905,193.
