| Title: ●Rulemaking To Codify Energy Efficiency Standards Prescribed in EPACT 2005 | |
| Abstract: EPACT 2005 establishes energy conservation standards for numerous consumer products and items of commercial equipment. In order to maintain the consistency and completeness of the Departments appliance standards regulations codified in 10 CFR 430 and 431 and to aid interested parties in locating and using the new regulatory information, DOE is promulgating all non-discretionary energy standards contained in EPACT 2005 into the Code of Federal Regulations. This rulemaking encompasses the following products and equipment: Commercial refrigerators, freezers, and refrigerator-freezers; remote condensing commercial refrigerators, refrigerator-freezers, and freezers; commercial ice makers; residential dehumidifiers; commercial clothes washers; ceiling fans; fluorescent lamp ballasts; illuminated exit signs; medium base compact fluorescent lamps; mercury vapor lamp ballasts; torchieres; traffic signal modules and pedestrian modules; (commercial) unit heaters; small commercial package air-conditioning and heating equipment; large commercial package air-conditioning and heating equipment; very large commercial package air-conditioning and heating equipment; commercial prerinse spray valve; and low-voltage dry-type distribution transformers. | |
