Abstract:
PLANT VARIETY PROTECTION ACT (5 U.S.C.553) PROVIDES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE FOR PLANT VARIETY PROTECTION. APPLICATION, WITH ATTACHMENTS, IS USED BY DEVELOPERS OF NOVEL VARIETIES OF PLANTS TO APPLY FOR PROTECTION AND IS THE BASIS FOR DETERMINATION BY EXPERT EXAMINERS AS TO WHETHER A NOVEL VARIETY EXISTS AND IS ENTITLED TO PROTECTION.
