Abstract:
THE FHWA HAS IMPLEMENTED THE HIGHWAY PERFORMANCE MONITORING SYSTEM TO BETTER AND POLICIES THROUGH THE MONITORING OF HIGHWAY PERFORMANCE. SPECIFICALLY A CONTINUING, FULLY COORDINATED DATA COLLECTION SUBSYSTEM IS BEING ESTABLISHED TO MONITOR SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS WHICH IN TURN WILL BE USED TO GENERATE TRENDS AND ESTIMATES OF SYSTEM PERFORMANCE.
