Abstract:
SECTION 2124 OF THE TAX REFORM ACT AND RELATED MATERIAL REQUIRES THAT THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR CERTIFY TO THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY UPON APPLICATION BY OWNERS OF HISTORIC PROPERTIES FOR FEDERAL TAX BENEFITS, (A) THE HISTORIC CHARACTER OF THE PROPERTY AND (B) THAT THE REHABILITATION WORK IS CONSISTENT WITH THE HISTORIC CHARACTER. ADMINISTERED IN COOPERATION WITH THE STATE HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICERS, A VARIETY OF INFORMATION MUST BE COLLECTED

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
