Abstract:
DATA CONCERNING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS KILLED ARE COLLECTED BY THE FBI-UCR PROGRAM, AUTHORIZED BY LAW TITLE 28, SECTION 534, U.S. CODE. THE DATA IS PUBLISHED ANNUALLY FOR USE BY ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS' TRAINING AND TO MAKE AVAILABLE THE MOST EFFECTIVE EQUIPMENT.
