THE FORM IS USED TO COLLECT PRICE INFORMATION FOR THE PRODUCER PRICE INDEX, WHICH IS ONE OF THE NATION'S MOST IMPORTANT ECONOMIC INDICATOR. THE BURDEN WILL INCREASE EACH YEAR UNTIL A STEADY STATE IS REACHED.
