Abstract:
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ANNUAL SURVEY IS TO PROVIDE A CURRENT AND ONGOING SERIES OF INFORMATION ON THE SIZE AND COMPOSITION OF THE HOUSING INVENTORY. IT ALSO HELPS MEASURE THE CHANGE IN THE HOUSING INVENTORY RESULTING FROM LOSSES, NEW CONSTRUCTIONS AND MOBILE HOME PLACEMENTS, THE TOTAL NUMBER OF VACANCIES, THE PHYSICAL CONDITION OF THE INVENTORY AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE OCCUPANTS.
