Abstract:
UNDER THE RAILROAD RETIREMENT ACT, TO OBTAIN A BENEFIT AS THE SPOUSE O AN EMPLOYEE ANNUITANT OR AS THE WIDOW(ER) OF A DECEASED EMPLOYEE, APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT INFORMATION TO BE USED IN DETERMINING IF THEY MEET THE MARRIAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCH BENEFITS. THE STATEMENTS OBTA INFORMATION SUPPORTING CLAIMED COMMON-LAW MARRIAGES PROVING TERMINATIO OF PREVIOUS MARRIAGES AND PROVING RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS.
