This request for clearance is approved through September l982. Any request for revision or modification of this approval is to be accompanied by an analysis indicating which data elements, if any, are not entered into the IRS computers. For each element not computerized, the Department is to explain why it is necessary to have all repondent provide that information element, what the consequences to the collection of the revenue would be if the element were not collected, and why if the element is needed, but not computerized, it could not be requested from only those taxpayers selected for audit.
