Abstract:
THIS REPORT CONTAINS DETAILED ASSET AND LIABILITY INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN BRANCHES OF U.S. BANKS AND IS REQUIRED FOR REGULATORY AND SUPERVISORY PURPOSES. IT IS USED IN THE SUPERVISION OF THESE INSTITUTIONS AND, IN CONJUNCTION WITH SIMILAR DOMESTIC REPORTS TO DETERMINE THE COMPOSITION OF ASSETS AND LIABILITIES AND OVERALL BANKIN TRENDS, AN IDENTICAL REPORT IS COLLECTED BY THE COMPTROLLER OF THE CURRENCY AND THE FDIC FROM INSTITUTIONS UNDER THEIR SUPERVISION.
