DRIVER VEHICLE INSPECTION REPORTS ARE REQUIRED BY 49 CFR 396, USED TO IDENTIFY DEFECTS LIKELY TO AFFECT SAFETY OF OPERATION ADN TO RECORD INSPECTION, REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES. PERMITS BMCS TO MONITO THESE PRACTICES WHICH IMPACT ON SAFE OPERATION ON HIGHWAYS.
