Abstract:
THE MINERAL LEASING ACT OF 1920 (30 U.S.C. 187, 187A) AUTHORIZES THE ASSIGNMENT OR SUBLEASE OF AN OIL AND GAS LEASE, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL BY THE SECRETARY, TO ANY PERSON WHO MEETS THE CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT AND THE ACREAGE LIMITATION PRESCRIBED BY THE LAW.
