THE BIRTH REPORT IS EXECUTED AT FOREIGN SERVICE POSTS BY THE PARENTS O U.S. CITIZEN CHILDREN BORN ABROAD. IT IS THE PRIMARY MEANS OF ESTABLISHING THE U.S. CITIZENSHIP OF THE CHILD AND IS ACCEPTED AS PROO OF CITIZENSHIP UNDER 22 USC 2705. IT IS USED AS PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP FOR PASSPORT, SCHOOL, EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER PURPOSES.
