Abstract:
DRIVER VEHICLE INSPECTION REPORTS ARE REQUIRED BY 49 CFR 396, USED TO IDENTIFY DEFECTS LIKELY TO AFFECT SAFETY OF OPERATION AND TO RECORD INSPECTION, REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES. PERMITS FHWA TO MONITOR THESE PRACTICES WHICH IMPACT ON SAFE OPERATIONS ON HIGHWAYS.
