EACH BULK OIL FACILITY THAT INTENDS TO TRANSFER TO A VESSEL MUST NOTIF THE COAST GUARD BY LETTER OF THIS INTENTION. THE COAST GUARD MAY THE CONDUCT AN INSPECTION TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH POLLUTION PREVENTION REGULATIONS (33 CFR 154, 156).
