SEC. 2124 OF THE TAX REFORM ACT OF 1976, SEC. 212 OF THE ECONOMIC RECOVERY TAX ACT OF 1981, AND RELATED MATERIAL REQUIRES THAT THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR CERTIFY TO THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY UPO APPLICATION BY OWNERS OF HISTORIC PROPERTIES FOR FEDERAL TAX BENEFITS, (A) THE HISTORIC CHARACTER OF THE PROPERTY (B) THAT THE REHABILITATIO WORK IS CONSISTENT WITH THE HISTORIC CHARACTER. On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
