IRC SECTION 6048 REQUIRES ANY U.S. PERSON WHO CREATES A FOREIGN TRUST OR TRANSFERS MONEY OR PROPERTY TO A FOREIGN TRUST, TO FILE AN INFORMATION RETURN WITHIN 90 DAYS. FORM 3520 IS USED TO IDENTIFY PERSONS WHO HAVE CREATED A FOREIGN TRUST OR TRANSFER MONEY TO A FOREIGN TRUST.
