Abstract:
WE NEED AND USE THE INFORMATION TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH INCOME TAX WITHHOLDING PROVISIONS ON CERTAIN TYPES OF GAMBLING WINNINGS WHENEVER A SINGLE WAGER IS SPLIT INTO SEVERAL PARTS. THE TAX IS PAID BY THE WAGERING PUBLIC AND IS ADMINISTERED BY PAYERS OF WINNINGS, PARTICULARL HORSE RACING, DOG RACING, AND JAI ALAI OPERATIONS.
