Abstract:
IRC SECTION 408(I) REQUIRES TRUSTEES OF INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS AND ISSUERS OF ENDOWMENT CONTRACTS OR INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ANNUITIES TO MAKE REPORTS TO THE IRS REGARDING SUCH ACCOUNTS, CONTRACTS, AND ANNUITIES. THE SERVICE USES THIS INFORMATION TO VERIFY THE CONTRIBUTION TO THE INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ARRANGEMENT.
