THE BUREAU NEEDS THIS INFORMATION FOR FIREARM TRACING OF GUNS USED IN CRIMES OF VIOLENCE. THERE IS A NEED FOR TOTAL RECORDS OF GUNS IN AND OUT, TO WHOM THE PIECE WAS TRANSFERRED, FOR USE IN AUDITING DURING COMPLIANCE INSPECTIONS TO VERIFY THE LICENSEE'S COMPLIANCE WITH LAW.
