Since the CAB Form 41 Report is substntially less burdensome than Form 41 collections in the past, it is approved for use under OMB number 3024-0013 through October 31, 1984. By this date, further decisions regarding CAB sunset will have been made, and the disposition of these forms, and other CAB paperwork requirements, will be clearer. At that time, OMB will be better able to analyze these requirements. OMB note that the approval period for this form may be extended without the necessity of a formal information collection request by the CAB.

CAB FORM 41, FIELD BY CERTIFICATED CARRIERS PURSUANT TO PART 241 OF THE BOARD'S ECONOMIC REGULATIONS, PROVIDES BASIC FINANCIAL AND TRAFFIC DATA WHICH ARE USED EXTENSIVELY BY THE PUBLIC AND BY THE BOARD'S VARIOUS OFFICES AND DIVISIONS IN THEIR ONGOING PROGRAMS UNDER THE FEDERAL AVIATION ACT OF 1958, AS AMENDED.
