Abstract:
THE INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO ASSESS ANNUALLY THE POPULATION STATUS OF WOODCOCK. THE INFORMATION IS USED PRINCIPALLY BY FEDERAL AND STATE CONSERVATION AGENCIES INCLUDING CANADIAN, TO GUIDE THE ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT OF REGULATIONS GOVERNING WOODCOCK HUNTING. ABOUT 95% OF T RESPONDENTS ARE EMPLOYEE OF FEDERAL AND STATE CONSERVATION AGENCIES. THE REMAINDER ARE PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS.
