Abstract:
UNDER CHAPTERS 42 AND 43, LARGE "SECOND-TIER" EXCISE TAXES ARE IMPOSED ON CERTAIN ACTS OR FAILURES TO ACT WITH RESPECT TO PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS PENSION PLANS, ETC., AFTER FIRST-TIER TAXES ARE IMPOSED. THESE REGULATIONS DESCRIBE PROCEDURE FOR IMPOSING AND SEEKING RELIEF (THROUG FILING A CLAIM FOR REFUND) FORM, THE SECOND-TIER TAXES.
