Abstract:
THE AFIDA OF 1978 REQUIRES FOREIGN PERSONS TO TIMELY REPORT HELD, ACQUIRED, OR TRANSFERRED AGRICULTURAL LAND UNDER PENALTY OF LAW. OBJECTIVE - TO MAKE REGULATIONS EASIER TO UNDERSTAND AND ADMINISTER. IT MORE ACCURATELY DEFINES AGRICULTURAL LAND, SIGNIFICANT INTEREST OR SUBSTANTIAL CONTROL, CHANGES IN LAND USE AND FOREIGN PERSONS.
