FORM N-2 IS THE REGISTRATION STATEMENT USED BY CLOSED-END MANAGEMENT INVESTMENT COMPANIES TO REGISTER AS INVESTMENT COMPANIES UNDER THE INVESTMENT COMPANY ACT AND TO REGISTER THEIR SECURITIES FOR SALE TO TH PUBLIC UNDER THE SECURITIES ACT. IT IS USED TO UPDATE THE 1940 ACT REGISTRATION STATEMENT ANNUALLY AND ALSO CONTAINS THE PROSPECTUS, THE PRINCIPAL SELLING DOCUMENT FOR SECURITIES.
