IRC SEC. 6033 REQUIRES THE FILING OF AN ANNUAL INFO. RETURN BY ALL PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS (WHETHER TAXABLE OR TAX EXEMPT) & SEC. 4947(A)(1) TRUSTS TREATED AS PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS. SEC. 4940 IMPOSES A TAX ON NET INVESTMENT INCOME OF DOMESTIC PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS & SEC. 4948 IMPOSES A SIMILAR TAX ON FOREIGN PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS. REGULATIONS SEC. 1.6011- REQUIRES REPORTING THE TAX ON THE FORM REQUIRED BY SEC. 6033.
