FINANCIAL AND OPERATING DATA SHOWING THE CURRENT DATA FOR THE CARRIER ARE REPORTED ON THIS FORM. REPORTS ARE USED BY THE COMMISSION TO ASSE INDUSTRY GROWTH, SUDDEN CHANGES IN CARRIER FINANCIAL STABILITY AND THE EFFECT ON THE NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM. ALSO USED FOR EVALUATING PROPOSALS FOR CHANGES IN OWNERSHIP, CONTROL, MERGER OF TRANSPORTATION COMPANIES.
