Abstract:
OWNERS OF CERTAIN VESSELS REQUIRED TO BE DOCUMENTED ARE GRANTED THE OPTION TO APPLY FOR SIMPLIFIED MEASUREMENT. THE REQUIRED INFORMATION IS USED TO CALCULATE THE VESSEL TONNAGES. THIS SYSTEM ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR DETAILED DRAWINGS AND PHYSICAL MEASUREMENTS, RESULTING IN REDUCED COSTS TO THE OWNER.
