Abstract:
AUTOMATED VITAL SYSTEM RULES ARE NECESSARY TO PROMOTE THE SAFETY OF LI AT SEA ON U.S. COAST GUARD CERTIFICATED VESSELS. THE COAS GUARD REVIEWS PLANS, TESTS, AND PROCEDURES TO DETERMINE COMPLIANCE AND EVALUATE MINIMUM NECESSARY MANNING LEVELS. AUTOMATED VESSEL DESIGNERS MANUFACTURERS, OWNERS AND CREWMEMBERS ARE AFFECTED.
