Abstract:
SECTION 642 OF THE TAX REFORM ACT OF 1984 REQUIRES THAT INDIVIDUALS WHO TRANSFERRED CERTAIN BONDS BETWEEN DECEMBER 31, 1983 AND JUNE 19, 1984, REPORT THE DATE AND AMOUNT OF SUCH TRANSFERS. THE REGULATION REQUIRES THAT THE REPORT BE MADE ON THE FORM THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED IF THE TRANSFER WERE TAXABLE.
