Abstract:
IRC SECTION 47 AND REGULATIONS SECTION 1.47 REQUIRE THAT A STATEMENT BE ATTACHED TO THE TAX RETURN TO SHOW THE COMPUTATION OF THE SECTION 4 RECAPTURE TAX. THE TAXPAYER'S INCOME TAX MUST BE INCREASED BY THE INVESTMENT CREDIT RECAPTURED WHEN INVESTMENT CREDIT PROPERTY IS DISPOS OF BEFORE THE END OF THE USEFUL LIFE OR RECOVERY PERIOD USED IN THE ORIGINAL COMPUTATION OF THE CREDIT.
