PLANS AND DOCUMENTATION SUBMITTED TO THE COAST GUARD ARE USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER A U.S. TANK VESSEL AND COMPLIES WITH THE APPLICABLE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS, VESSELS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE OPERATING MANUALS DETAILING METHODS TO BE USED TO COMPLY WITH REQUIRED OPERATING PROCEDURES.
