Abstract:
THE NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING (RM85-6-000) PROPOSES TO CLARIFY THE COMMISSION'S REGULATIONS CONCERNING COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 401 OF THE CLEAN WATER ACT DEALING WITH WATER QUALITY CERTIFICATION. IN PARTICULAR, THE PROPOSED RULE ADDRESSES THE PERIOD OF TIME WITHIN WHICH THE CERTIFYING AGENCY MUST TAKE ACTION ON APPLICATIONS FOR WATER QUALITY CERTIFICATION.
