CURRENT STATISTICS FROM DEALERS PROVIDE INCOMPLETE INFORMATION ON CATCH. INFORMATION WILL BE COLLECTED FROM ALL USER GROUPS - NON-TRAP FISHERMEN, DEALERS, PROCESSORS AND CHARTERBOAT OPERATORS - TO PROVIDE A RELIABLE ESTIMATE OF TOTAL CATCH. THIS INFORMATION WILL ALLOW NMFS AND THE COUNCIL TO MORE ACCURATELY ASSESS OY.
