Abstract:
EMPLOYERS WHO PAY LUMP SUM DISTRIBUTIONS FROM QUALIFIED EMPLOYEE PLANS MUST REPORT THE DOLLAR AMOUNT OF CERTAIN ELEMENTS OF THE DISTRIBUTION TO THE RECIPIENT AND THE IRS ON FORM 1099R TO FACILITATE THE ACCURATE DETERMINATION OF THE RECIPIENT'S TAX LIABILITY.
