Abstract:
THIS IMMEDIATELY EFFECTIVE PROPOSED RULE EFFECTIVELY EXTENDS CURRENT OSHA PROTECTIONS TO STATE AND LOCAL PUBLIC EMPLOYEES WHO PERFORM ASBESTOS ABATEMENT ACTIVITIES. EPA NEEDS PRIOR REPORTING OF ABATEMENT PROJECTS SUBJECT TO THIS RULE TO INSPECT FOR COMPLIANCE PURPOSES.
