Abstract:
VOLUNTARY PLAN TERMINATION UNDER SEPPA IS PERMITTED ONLY IF A PLAN QUALIFIES FOR A "STANDARD" OR "DISTRESS" TERMINATION. THESE INTERIM PROCEDURES ADVISE PLAN ADMINISTRATORS OF THE INFORMATION THE PBGC NEEDS TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE PLAN SATISFIES THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TYPE OF TERMINATION CHOSEN.
