Abstract:
IN A RECENT FINAL RULE (11/19/86, 51 FR 41765) THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION HAS DETERMINED THAT FD&C YELLOW NO. 6 CAN CAUSE ALLERGIC-TYPE REACTIONS IN SENSITIVE INDIVIDUALS. DISCLOSURE OF FD&C Y-6 ON LABELS OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL MINIMIZE EXPOSURE TO THIS COLOR ADDITIVE.
