Abstract:
THE REGULATIONS REQUIRE TAXPAYERS TO FILE TAX RETURNS AND AMENDED TAX RETURNS WITH STATEMENTS IN ORDER TO SECURE NONRECOGNITION ON CERTAIN DISTRIBUTIONS OR TRANSFERS OF U.S. REAL PROPERTY INTERESTS. THE SERVICE NEEDS THIS INFORMATION TO ENSURE THAT FUTURE TAXABLE DISPOSITIONS OF THE U.S. REAL PROPERTY INTERESTS.
