THIS INFORMATION IS USED BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD AND THE FEDERA OPEN MARKET COMMITTEE TO ENHANCE INTERPRETATION OF THE MONETARY AGGREGATES AND EFFECTS OF MONETARY POLICY. THE BOARD ALSO REQUIRES THIS INFORMATION TO FULFILL ITS STATUTORY RESPONSIBILITIES TO ADMINIST CONSUMER CREDIT REGULATIONS.
