Abstract:
THE REGULATION REQUIRES THAT PROOF OF PAYMENT OF THE HEAVY VEHICLE USE TAX IMPOSED ON FOREIGN-BASED HIGHWAY VEHICLES BE PRESENTED UPON ENTRY OF SUCH VEHICLE INTO THE UNITED STATES. IN CERTAIN CASES A WRITTEN DECLARATION MAY BE PRESENTED IN LIEU OF PROOF OF PAYMENT.
